Cathy Kerton-Johnson – Owner
Cathy Kerton-Johnson opened the Bridge in 2015 with the help of the Upland community. Her dream for the Bridge is to offer a space for people of all backgrounds to come together and connect. Cathy was born in South Africa and has always loved the art of cooking and bringing people together over food. The menu draws on years of experience and joins English cuisine with South African favorites. Cathy lives in Upland on a farm with her children and husband, Nicholas Kerton-Johnson. Cathy is currently working on her Master's Degree in History at Ball State in Muncie.
Gail Olsen - General manager
Gail joined the Bridge in June of 2022. She has quickly fallen in love with the cafe and can’t wait for what’s to come. Gail grew up in Kokomo, IN before moving to Muncie, IN to attend college. In 2022, She received a Bachelors of Science In Hospitality Management from Ball State University. Since childhood, Gail has had a love for food and the joy that comes with serving it. She has worked a many different positions in order to learn the restaurant industry from inside out. Gail currently resides in Gas City with her cat, Cc. Her dream is to one day open her own cat cafe to spread positivity through her passion, while helping cats find their forever homes.
